Property: white monoclinic system crystalline powder, insoluble in water or cool diluted acids, easily soluble in ammonia, ammonium salt solution and thick hydrochloric acid; will be decomposed into cuprous cyanide and hydrogen cyanide in boiling hydrochloric acid; soluble in sodium cyanide? Ammonium cyanide? Potassuim cyanide; will self-ignite when temperature is higher than 130, it is virulent.
Use: in the plating of copper and its alloy, as raw material of antitubercular agent and other drugs; in the manufacture of pesticides and other chemicals; can purify molten metals etc.
