TARAZONA® is a company with more than 50 years experience in the fertilizers and industrial additives sectors. In the fertilizers area, we produce and distribute a wide variety of final and intermediate products in solid and liquid form. In the industrial sector, we produce various additives for different industrial applications most notably the production of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) under the AdBlue® trademark.
MORE THAN 50 YEARS OF HISTORY
TARAZONA® is a 2nd generation family owned company, founded in the town of Paiporta, Valencia, Spain more than 50 years ago by Don Antonio Tarazona Valero.
The company took its first steps in the area of agricultural treatments for local farms. The pursuit of excellence by constantly improving our products and services has ... distinguished us from others and has led the company to the distribution and manufacturing of agricultural fertilizers and industrial additives on a large-scale.
In the fertilizers area, we produce and distribute a wide variety of final and intermediate products in solid and liquid form. In the industrial sector, we produce various additives for different industrial applications; most notably the production of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) under the AdBlue® trademark.
In 1984 the company was moved to its current location in Silla, in the state of Valencia, Spain. This allows us to continually satisfy our distribution agreements with major brands in the sector and to become a member of the leading group of Spanish fertilizer producers.
In 2005 our trademark was simplified to TARAZONA, highlighting the family's name. The deployment of our new image was completed in 2006, and involved the redesign of the brand and products presentation.
In 2005, we opened a new plant for the exclusive production of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) under the AdBlue® trademark, with technology developed entirely by our department of * are now capable of producing 35,000 tons of DEF annually.
The same year, the company signed an exclusive manufacturing agreement with Dureal, a trademark owned by the multinational Univar, to produce DEF, according to standard DIN 700.70-2.005.
In 2009 we invested 1.3 million dollars in a new packaging line to improve our quality and to better serve our customers.
Today we continue our expansion offering a wider range of agricultural and industrial products, with presence in new markets, thanks to improvements in ground communications.
In keeping with our policy to continually improve our facilities, we will inaugurate a new blending plant production in 2010.

Take N-340 towards Valencia. Exit 275 Picasent, Alcacer, Silla
Remarks: The A-7 freeway joins the N-340, VALENCIA SUR diversion.
FACILITIES
TARAZONA® facilities are located in the Spanish town of Silla, Valencia, which has a surface area of 45,000 m2, distributed amongst different buildings.
This infrastructure allows us to adequately produce, package and store products developed by the company. We also have a state of the art laboratory where our research team is in a constant quest to improve our products and services.
- Main facility houses the following: Offices, Packaging center, Warehouse, Blending Production.
- AdBlue® / Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) plant
- Bulk storage
- Liquid fertilizer plant and laboratory
- Finished products warehouse
- Liquid and special products packaging plant .
STRATEGIC LOCATION
TARAZONA® headquarters facilities are strategically located as a hub for distribution of large quantities of goods. Being located close to the ports of Valencia and Sagunto facilitates ease of distribution by ocean going vessels. By road they are connected to major highways that provide access to major European Union cities and are within 350 km radius to Madrid and Barcelona. Furthermore, Silla also has modern rail access which supports sending and receiving cargo by train. Read more
